Bangkok Airways, based in Bangkok, Thailand has signed leases with Pembroke for 2 Boeing 717-200 aircraft. Bangkok Airways commenced passenger services in 1968 and have a fleet of 9 ATR 42/72 aircraft. The 717 aircraft, configured in a 125 seat all economy configuration will be delivered in November 2000 and May 2001. Bangkok Airways will use the aircraft to offer jet class services into Laos and Cambodia and other regional destinations. The aircraft will be operated from Bangkok and Ko Samui which is an important tourist destination in Thailand. www.bkkair.co.th
