Aircraft Financing & Trading B.V. being a subsidiary of the Pembroke Group has signed a lease agreement and delivered two Fokker 50s to PT IAT Indonesia. The aircraft have been leased from "SAF", a subsidiary of Aircraft Financing & Trading.

The aircraft will be operated primarily in support of the Oil and Gas Industry within Indonesia's vast archipelago as well as to other destinations in the SouthEast Asia/ASEAN region. IAT considers the Fokker 50 ideally suited and cost effective for operations in and out of small airfields at remote locations.

The two Fokker 50s add to a fleet of 3 F27s in operation by IAT, with the F27's being gradually phased out. IAT operates a fleet of executive aircraft and helicopters throughout Indonesia.

Fokker Services Asia provides a comprehensive Customized Support Package to IAT. This is aimed at assisting IAT in the start-up of the operation and achieving a mature and reliable operation as rapidly as possible. The Customized Support Package includes operational training, initial spares provisioning, engineering support, spare parts lease and forward exchange service and fleet hour agreements for component overhaul and repair. Heavy maintenance as well as engine QEC support is also provided at Fokker Services' facility at Singapore's Seletar airport.

Building upon the experience of the F27, the Fokker 50 has gained a reputation for excellent structural durability. In its years of operations the Fokker 50 has set new and as yet unmatched standards in terms of low operating costs, passenger comfort, operational flexibility and reliability. It is equipped with a modern flight deck and it has a range with a full passenger payload of over 1,500 nm. The outstanding range capability is ideally suited for operation on a regional network with longer sectors, but the Fokker 50 is also suited for high cycle operation on a domestic network.
