Aircraft Financing & Trading B.V., a subsidiary of the Pembroke Group, has delivered a Fokker 50 to Nakanihon Airlines in Japan. The transaction closed in mid-December last year and the aircraft was configured in The Netherlands in the Nakanihon specification meeting all JCAB requirements, prior to delivery to Japan. Delivery took place in January 2002. The aircraft was purchased by Nakanihon and will be operated under Code Share Services with ANA between Tokyo Narita and Nagoya, beginning April 18, 2002 the day the second runway opens at Narita. The "ANA Connection" services offer a total of two daily code-share flights in addition to ANA's own daily flight on the Nakanihon from Nagoya to Narita. Nakanihon has a fleet of four Fokker 50 aircraft and operates a number of domestic destinations from Nagoya. The additional aircraft will primarily be used to cope with the required additional capacity for the ANA Connection.
